Coldplay have today announced details of a series of huge UK stadium shows to take place next year.

The band, who released fifth album ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ last month, will open up the run of outdoor gigs at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on May 29th. Beginning on June 1st, they will then move on to London’s Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club, for back-to-back gigs.

The final two dates will come at Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light on June 7th, and the Etihad Stadium, formerly known as the City Of Manchester Stadium, on June 9th.

The outdoor run is confirmed not long after Red Hot Chili Peppers unveiled their own ambitious outdoor jaunt, which will include a show at Knebworth Park.

Tickets prices will start from £49.50, and are available to purchase a week today (November 18th), from 9am.

Dates:

Tuesday, May 29 – Coventry, Ricoh Arena
Friday, June 1 – London, Emirates Stadium
Saturday, June 2 – London, Emirates Stadium
Thursday, June 7 – Sunderland, Stadium of Light
Saturday, June 9 – Manchester, Etihad Stadium
