Noel and Liam Gallagher‘s phones were probably hacked by the News Of The World, claims their former Creation manager Alan McGee.
It was revealed recently that McGee was one of many public figures to have been included on a list of phone hacking subjects by a journalist at the now defunct weekend newspaper, though the Oasis brothers apparently weren’t, prompting Noel Gallagher to joke he was disappointed not to have been targeted himself.
However, when writing a blog on the Huffington Post, McGee has said he finds it hard to believe that if he was potentially the victim of phone hacking, then Noel and Liam Gallagher were not.
“If I am on the list, then personally I find it impossible to think that people like Noel and Liam won’t be too as more names are revealed,” he wrote.
“Of course I will try to sue News International, as they deserve all of the grief and bad publicity possible for what they have done to people. I sent Noel Gallagher a text to tell him I was on the hack list. I think he fancies being on it too.”
An official inquiry led by Lord Leveson into press ethics, launched in the wake of the News Of The World scandal, will continue in London today.Just Published:
