Coldplay and Kasabian lead the line-up confirmed today for the 2011 Radio 1 Student Tour.
The tour will see various acts performing special one-off university gigs across the UK, with Kasabian’s show at their home city Leicester’s University on October 26th likely to spark a mad scramble for tickets.
Coldplay will perform the last gig of the Radio 1 tour, with an appearance at the University of East Anglia on October 27th, when new tracks from their forthcoming album ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ are likely to be aired.
Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe will host the first leg of the tour, when Noah & The Whale and Ben Howard kick off proceedings in Aberdeen on October 24th. UK chart star Example is due up a day later at the University of Hertfordshire
Tickets for the shows are priced at £20 and will go on sale from October 15th. Tickets can only be purchased in person from each university venue.
