Coldplay will stream their upcoming concert at the Plaza de Toros, Madrid live on their official YouTube channel, the band have announced.

Commenting on the show, frontman Chris Martin has said:

“Until we can come to a video as good as ‘Single Ladies‘ by Beyonce, we have to rely on just the meat and vegetables of playing songs live, and this is just a nice way of doing it for a few more people at once.”

The gig will be aired on October 26th, just two days before the release of Coldplay’s fifth studio record ‘Mylo Xyloto‘. The album has grabbed the headlines thanks to a guest vocal contribution by pop superstar Rihanna on the track ‘Princess Of China‘, which Chris Martin has recently described as his favourite part of their record.

“Well, her bit on our record is my favourite bit. When the song came out, it sort of asked for her to be on it. And I think at this point, we have nothing to lose, and so we’ve been trying some new things and trying to break down the perceived boundaries between different types of music,” Martin told MTV News.
