Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has said he would like the band to resume their working relationship with Josh Homme at some stage in the future.

Cited by the Sheffield band as a huge influence on their career, Homme has both produced and guested on recent Monkeys albums, and Turner has told the Toronto Sun he would like to spend more time in the studio with the Queens Of The Stone Age leader.

“He obviously produced most of our last album,” Turner said. “I’d love to get back in the studio with him at some point. The whole experience with him was really inspiring – and fun as well, which is important.”

“When you spend as much time in dark rooms as we do, it helps if it’s with somebody who makes you laugh and is a good bloke. So that definitely didn’t suck.”

As the Arctic Monkeys continue to tour the 2011 album ‘Suck It and See‘, Turner has also told the Toronto Sun they are currently only focusing on their live duties, and are “not even thinking about the next album.”
