The Smashing Pumpkins will hit the road in the UK this November for a seven-date tour beginning in Manchester.
Billy Corgan, Jeff Schroeder, Nicola Fiorentino and Mike Byrne will open proceedings at the Manchester Apollo on November 11th, before moving north to the Glasgow Academy two days later.
Two dates at the Brixton Academy will follow a stop in Newcastle on November 14th, with shows in Sheffield and Birmingham bringing proceedings to a close.
The tour is likely to coincide with the release of the band’s ninth studio album ‘Oceania‘, which is now tentatively described as having a release due ‘in late 2011’ after a planned September issue was put back. It will be the band’s first series of UK dates since 2008.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale from this Friday (September 9th).
