Pulp End Reunion Tour With No Hints Of Future Plans

Pulp played the last gig of their summer reunion tour last night (September 4th) at Ireland’s Electric Picnic festival, and left no signs of the re-formation continuing into the future.

Pulp announced their return for a series of festival appearances, as well as a handful of their own headline shows, earlier this year, and have received strong reviews for their crowd-pleasing, hit-laden performances.

However, when introducing set closer ‘Common People‘ in Ireland yesterday, the band’s frontman Jarvis Cocker made no suggestion of their successful summer leading to any further plans, telling the crowd ‘this maybe the last time we’re ever all on stage together’, after earlier remarking ‘this is the last gig of the tour, so if we start crying or get emotional, you’ll understand’.

Pulp again took heavily from their breakthrough album ‘His N Hers‘ and the big selling follow up ‘Different Class‘, with the likes of ‘Do You Remember The First Time?‘, ‘Babies‘ and ‘Disco 2000‘ joining ‘Common People’ on the setlist.

The Live4ever Ezine was in attendance when Pulp topped the bill at last month’s Leeds Festival, read our review here.
