Okkervil River have released the video for new single ‘Your Life Past As a Blast‘, the first official promo from their brilliant 2011 album ‘I Am Very Far‘.
The video has been compiled by the band’s multi-talented frontman Will Sheff, and features footage from his father’s home movie collection.
In addition, Okkervil River have added more tour dates to an already busy schedule, and will now visit Europe and the UK over the course of the penultimate month of the year.
Despite failing to make any significant commercial impact, Okkervil River’s ‘I Am Very Far’ remains one of the year’s stand-out releases, while the band’s late night gig in Austin’s legendary Antone’s venue (pic) as the final hours of SXSW 2011 ticked by was also an undoubted highlight of this year’s festival.
