The Last Shadow Puppets will not be able to begin work on a new album until the end of next year, if the Daily Star newspaper is to be believed.
The tabloid quotes one half of the band, Miles Kane, as saying that while he and bandmate Alex Turner have discussed their next move, the pair’s respective busy schedules are likely to prove an obstacle for the foreseeable future.
“I was talking to Alex about the next album,” Kane is quoted as saying. “But we won’t get a chance to make it until probably the end of next year.”
The duo became firm friends after Miles Kane’s early band The Little Flames supported the Arctic Monkeys on tour. In 2008, they teamed up to release the highly-acclaimed debut Last Shadow Puppets album ‘The Age Of The Understatement‘, which hit the top spot in the UK shortly after its release and handed the band a Mercury Music Prize nomination.
