Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has moved to deny rumours his band will be a part of the opening ceremony at next year’s London Olympics, saying he was put off the idea after a conversation with a fellow *musician.

Jagger told the BBC listening to him recounting his own experience at a recent Winter Olympics was enough to firmly dissuade him from considering taking part in 2012.
Jagger also had harsh words for the handing-over ceremony which took place at the end of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, when singer Leona Lewis was joined by Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page, and a red bus, to mark the torch being passed to London.
“It wasn’t a brilliant piece of theatre when they left the stadium with a London bus with Jimmy Page on it,” Jagger added. “I don’t want to be on that bus when it arrives in London.”
The Rolling Stones have recently confirmed plans to re-release their 1978 album ‘Some Girls‘.
