Label Love Announces First Fundraiser After Sony Warehouse Fire

Label Love, the organisation set-up in the aftermath of the fire which destroyed Sony’s distribution warehouse in Enfield, London during unrest last month, has announced their first official event, which is set to be followed by further shows across the UK.

Taking place at Silver Bullet, Finsbury Park on Monday, September 5th, the Willkommen Records Showcase will feature performances from Eyes & No Eyes, Rozi Plain, Dancehalls and Rachel Dadd, the latter of which is set to be joined by members of Mumford & Sons and has been described as:

“…living her life between Japan and Bristol, she is constantly touring, constantly writing, skipping from one fleetingly romantic show to another- whether it be a church in England, a gallery in Japan or a squat in Switzerland. Her recordings are often born from late nights at home plugged into her 4-track. When she’s not playing, she’s sewing album sleeves and record bags. A true DIY artist in every sense of the word.”

Special edition t-shirts, downloads, and further campaigns are being arranged as the music industry looks to rally together in a bid to offset the financial burden which was placed on many independent labels after the destruction of large amounts of their stock in the blaze.
