Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire and Mumford & Sons have been confirmed to appear at this year’s annual Bridge School Benefit concert, which is organised by songwriting legend Neil Young.

The special acoustic gigs will take place on October 22nd and 23rd at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, California. Young himself will also perform at the benefit, along with other leading stars such as Eddie Vedder, Tony Bennett, Beck, Jenny Lewis and Los Invisibles featuring Carlos Santana.

According to Rolling Stone, proceeds from the weekend will help children with ‘severe physical impairments and complex communication needs’, who are given specialist care by the Bridge School which was founded in 1986 by Neil Young and his wife.

The first benefit took in performances from the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, while acts including Sir Paul McCartney, David Bowie and The Who have all lent their services to the worthy cause over the years.
