Bloc Party‘s Kele Okereke will release a new solo EP next month through Wichita.

Entitled ‘The Hunter‘, the seven-track EP will be available from October 31st and sees Okereke again working with acclaimed dance producer XXXChange, who was at the helm for his first full length solo effort ‘The Boxer‘ last year.

‘The Hunter’ is to include a cover of Q Lazzarus‘ 1988 track ‘Goodbye Horses‘, whose writer William Garvey has described as being about “…transcendence over those who see the world as only earthly and finite. The horses represent the five senses from Hindu philosophy and the ability to lift one’s perception above these physical limitations and to see beyond this limited Earthly perspective.”

First teaser ‘What Did I Do‘ features singer Lucy Taylor on lead vocals, while contributions from Sub Focus, Fred Falke, RAC and QNESS will also be a part of the EP.

Bloc Party are expected to end a short hiatus this month if earlier reports of them returning to the studio are proved correct.

Tracklist:

‘What Did I Do? feat Lucy Taylor’
‘Release Me’
‘Devotion’
‘Goodbye Horses’
‘Cable’s Goodbye’
‘Love As A Weapon’
‘You Belong To Someone Else’
