You Me At Six singer Josh Franceschi has revealed the band faced censorship from their management regarding the title of their forthcoming third studio album.
The Kerrang! favourites have confirmed the record will be called ‘Sinners Never Sleep‘, very much a second choice after the Surrey band originally wanted to name the album ‘Little Death’ – a French term for an orgasm.
“This is me talking to the dude upstairs and telling him we’re not getting along right now,” said Franceschi. “The title, though, isn’t about death at all. The French call an orgasm a little death, so we wanted to call the album that. The label said no, so it’s a song title instead.”
The follow up to last year’s ‘Hold Me Down‘, which hit the top ten on the UK Album Chart in January 2010, ‘Sinners Never Sleep’ will be released on October 3rd, with first single ‘Loverboy‘ being handed its debut tomorrow evening (August 11th).
