Amid growing media scrutiny surrounding their future following the cancellation of a US tour this week, UK three-piece White Lies have come out in defence of Kings Of Leon, and claimed the rumours of inter-band tensions are being exaggerated by the press.

In addition, White Lies also addressed Kings Of Leon’s reputation for aloof behaviour with other bands, something they denied experiencing during their time on the road with the Followill clan.

“We’ve always heard these stories about Kings of Leon being intense guys but when we’ve toured with them we’ve just had the best time,” drummer Jack Lawrence-Brown told Spinner. “They’ve been super chill. It’s probably blown out of proportion.”

“They’re a group of professionals, at the end of the day and nine times out of 10 they put on a fantastic rock show,” continued bassist Charles Cave. “They’re brothers. They could psychically fight with each other and they’ll be fine the next day.”

Kings Of Leon initially cancelled a planned gig in Houston after frontman Caleb left the stage in Dallas mid-set, and subsequently pulled the remainder of the tour, citing health problems as the reason.
