The Drums have announced details of a ten-date UK tour, due to begin at the end of November.
Birmingham’s HMV Institute will kick off the run of dates, with the New York band then moving on to the Newcastle Academy a day later. December will see the tour travelling north of the border to Scotland, beginning at the Glasgow ABC on the 3rd. A gig at the HMV Ritz, Manchester, will wrap the tour up on December 10th.
The Drums will release second album ‘Portamento‘ on September 12th. Since the industry-hyped, eponymous debut of last year, the group has undergone a significant re-jig following Adam Kessler‘s departure not long after.
In the aftermath, The Drums expanded to a five-piece when adding drummer Chris Stein and guitarist Myles Matheny to their ranks. The arrival of Stein also bumped former drummer Connor Hanwick over to keys.
Tickets for the shows will go on sale from this Friday (August 19th), at 9am.
