Noel Gallagher has confirmed the details of his first UK solo dates with The High Flying Birds in support of the forthcoming eponymous debut album.

As previously announced at a London press conference earlier last month, the tour will be launched in Dublin at the Olympia Theatre on October 23rd, followed by newly-confirmed dates at Edinburgh Usher Hall (27th), and the London Hammersmith Apollo (29th).

The High Flying Birds, described by Noel as a collective rather than a new band, will feature one-time Oasis touring member Mike Rowe, Zutons bass player Russell Pritchard, David ‘Macca’ Donald on guitars and Jeremy Stacey, brother of long-term friend Paul ‘Strangeboy’ Stacey, on drums.

Noel Gallagher’s debut solo album will be released on October 17th, and is to be preceded by first single ‘The Death Of You and Me‘.

More tour dates are to be announced in due course, with tickets for the first leg of shows due to go on sale from this Friday (August 5th) at 9am.
