The former Velvet Revolver singer opens his new album with a cover of The Stone Roses‘ classic track ‘I Am The Resurrection‘, which in turn closed the Manchester band’s self-titled debut.
Also featured are two David Bowie songs; his 1972 single ‘The Jean Genie‘ and ‘Fame‘, originally a 1975 single taken from the legendary songwriter’s ‘Young Americans‘ album.
Nirvana‘s ‘Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle‘ finds a place on the tracklist, as does ‘Reel Around The Fountain‘, the opener from The Smiths‘ 1984 debut album.
According to reports, a third solo album from Weiland is currently in the works.
