Former Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney is to marry for a third time at a low-key ceremony in London, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The paper claims Sir Paul will wed his girlfriend Nancy Shevell ‘with only close members of his family present’, before jetting off to New York for a party with friends and members of Shevell’s family.

“Paul loves Nancy very much, but does not want a big wedding,” the paper quotes a friend as saying.

Nancy Shevell will be the third wife of McCartney’s. He married first wife Linda back in 1969 after first meeting her in May 1967 at the height of The Beatles’ powers. During their marriage, Linda would be by Sir Paul’s side both personally and professionally until her untimely death in 1998.

His second marriage to Heather Mills was a far more fractious relationship, and after numerous tabloid stories and rumours, the pair’s divorce was made official in 2008.
