Northern Irish band Snow Patrol will give their new single ‘Called Out In The Dark‘ its radio debut later this week.
The track marks the group’s return following a break of over a year since the release of previous album ‘Up To Now‘. ‘Called Out In The Dark’ will get its worldwide exclusive first play this Thursday, 21st July, on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show.
The single was recorded in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles with their now regular producer Garret ‘Jacknife’ Lee, and is to be issued as both a stand-alone single and EP on September 4th.
Snow Patrol enjoyed their commercial peak in 2006 with ‘Eyes Open‘ which, backed by the smash-hit single ‘Chasing Cars‘, became the biggest seller in the UK that year, just pipping Take That’s comeback album ‘Beautiful World‘ to the accolade. The record also climbed to #27 on the US Billboard chart.
An as-yet-untitled album is due to follow the single later this year.
