The 2011 Mercury Music Prize nominees will be unveiled live via a webcast, it has been revealed. An online stream featured on the Barclaycard Facebook page will report news of the shortlist from 11.30am tomorrow (July 19th).

New Snow Patrol Single To Debut This Week

Northern Irish band Snow Patrol will give their new single ‘Called Out In The Dark‘ its radio debut later this week.

The track marks the group’s return following a break of over a year since the release of previous album ‘Up To Now‘. ‘Called Out In The Dark’ will get its worldwide exclusive first play this Thursday, 21st July, on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show.

Video: Stage Collapses During Cheap Trick Concert

Strong winds caused the stage structure to come down during US rock veterans Cheap Trick’s performance of their hit “I want you to want me”. The band were performing at the Ottawa Bluesfest yesterday (July 17).

The Associated Press reported that at least 5 people were injured, one seriously.

Radiohead Hint At Glastonbury Appearance In 2013

Radiohead have hinted they could be set to return to the Glastonbury festival for a third headline appearance when the event returns from its year-long break in 2013.

In a message on their official website regarding their surprise guest slot on the Park Stage at Worthy Farm last month, the band implied a return at the earliest possible opportunity.
