The Kooks have announced a new series of UK tour dates for September and October, after recently offering fans the chance of picking venues for last month’s low-key jaunt.
The new tour is to be launched at the Glasgow Barrowlands on September 30th, with the band moving down to Manchester for a show at the Academy a day later on October 1st. Proceedings will be wrapped up at the Brixton Academy on October 11th.
Late last month, The Kooks confirmed details of their third studio album. ‘Junk Of The Heart’ is to be released on September 12th, and was recorded in London and New York with Tony Hoffer.
It will be their first release with new bassist Pete Denton, who joined in the wake of Max Rafferty‘s after the release of 2008 album ‘Konk‘.
Tickets for the tour go on sale from this Friday (June 17th), at 9am.
