Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce New Album Release Date

red hot chilli peppers 105577492Red Hot Chili Peppers are to release their new album in August, the band have confirmed.

Their tenth studio effort will be released on August 29th, and is entitled ‘I’m With You‘, quashing rumours of the far more extravagant title ‘Dr Johnny Skinz’s Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-head‘ which had previously been circulating as a possible name.

‘I’m With You’ marks the band’s first album with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who joined on a permanent basis following the departure of influential member John Frusciante back in 2009.

The new record is Red Hot Chili Peppers’ first since 2006’s ‘Stadium Arcadium‘ and has again been produced by the legendary Rick Rubin. It will be preceded by the single ‘The Adventures Of Raindance Maggie‘ on July 18th.

The band are set for festival appearances at Japan’s Summer Sonic event, and the Rock In Rio festival in September when they will appear along side the likes of Coldplay and Metallica.
