Pulp are to follow their recent reunion for a series of summer festival appearances by re-releasing their first three studio albums in August.

1983 debut album ‘It‘, which led by the band’s debut single ‘My Lighthouse‘ features a sound barely recognisable from that which would come to define their Britpop years, will be re-issued with new liner notes and artwork, along with the 1987 follow-up ‘Freaks‘ and 1992′s ‘Separations‘. The trio of LPs will be issued on August 8th.

The early releases chart the story of Pulp’s history leading up to their breakthrough period of 1993/94 when ‘His N Hers‘, complete with hit singles ‘Do You Remember The First Time?‘, ‘Babies‘ and ‘Lipgloss‘, finally provided the band with chart success and critical recognition after a decade of toil when Pulp’s future was often uncertain.

Pulp’s major comeback was launched last week with a show at the Primavera Sound festival, while a clutch of UK festival spots will include an appearance at Isle Of Wight and a headline billing at the Leeds Festival.
