Kings Of Leon, Florence & The Machine Amongst UK’s Most Played Songs Of 2010

Kings Of Leon and Florence & The Machine both claimed places on a list of the UK’s ten most played songs of 2010, with pop superstar Lady Gaga coming out on top with the hit single ‘Bad Romance‘.

Despite being released in 2008, Kings Of Leon’s enduringly popular track ‘Sex On Fire‘ was the tenth most played song of last year, while Florence & The Machine’s ‘Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)‘, taken from debut album ‘Lungs‘, is at number 8.

“The pop songs are truly modern classics, instantly recognisable and a great representation of the British public’s appetite in the past year,” said Fran Nevrkla, chairman of the royalties body PPL, who complied the list.
