Mike Skinner will perform his last London show under The Streets banner when he headlines the city’s Freeze festival at Battersea Power Station this October.

To date, The Streets are the only act confirmed for Freeze, which is due to take place over the weekend of October 28th-29th and last year featured performances from the likes of Mark Ronson, New Young Pony Club and Hadouken. The event aims to combine live music with various snow sport pursuits.

Mike Skinner plans to retire The Streets following the completion of touring commitments in support of recent fifth and final studio album ‘Computers and Blues‘. The tour is set to include various summer festival appearances including Glastonbury and T In The Park.

In 2002, Skinner released debut album ‘Original Pirate Material‘, one of the most acclaimed releases of the past decade. Second record ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free‘ was issued two years later, and spawned a number one single for The Streets in the UK when ‘Dry Your Eyes‘ reached the top spot in May 2004.
