Muse, Villagers Win At 2011 Ivor Novello Awards

Villagers were among the winners at today’s Ivor Novello awards, with Plan B also landing two of the ceremony’s most coveted gongs.

Conor O’Brien won the Best Song Musically and Lyrically prize for his track ‘Becoming a Jackal‘, taken from the album of the same name.




Elsewhere, Plan B’s growing list of accolades for his second album ‘The Defamation Of Strickland Banks‘ continued, with the record beating Bombay Bicycle Club and Everything Everything to the Best Album award, while the single ‘She Said‘ won the PRS For Most Performed Work.

In addition, Muse went away with International Achievement gong, while former Free frontman Paul Rodgers picked up the Outstanding Contribution award.

The awards were handed out at a ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House.
