Leeds band the Kaiser Chiefs have announced two low-key UK dates for next month as they begin their return following a prolonged break since the release of 2008 album ‘Off With Their Heads‘.

The band broke the news of the two gigs at the Falmouth Pavilion today via a post on their Facebook page, which reads: “It’s been almost 2 years since we last played live and to say thank you to all our FB fans we are putting on two secret shows.”

“They’re at the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth on the 7th and 8th of June, and will be small intimate gigs where we’re gonna be playing some new songs live for the very first time, alongside some familiar faves.”

The Kaiser Chiefs have spent most of the past twelve months working on new material, after ‘Off With Their Heads’ struggled to make the same kind of impact on the charts enjoyed by its predecessors ‘Employment‘ and ‘Yours Truly, Angry Mob‘, despite being given a warm reception by critics.

Tickets for the two shows will be made available on the group’s Facebook page. An appearance on Glastonbury’s Other Stage will follow the shows on Sunday, June 26th.
