Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has said the band are likely to play their 2001 second album ‘Origin of Symmetry‘ in its entirety when they headline this summer’s Reading/Leeds festival, after recently revealing the shows could mark the last time the band play tracks from the album live.

Writing on Twitter, Bellamy said the decision would be to mark the record’s tenth anniversary, but left no further comment on the possibility of it being consigned to history following the performance.

‘So we’ll probably play Origin in it’s entirety (as well other songs) at Reading/Leeds as it will be 10 years since it came out,’ he posted. ‘Just wanna make sure u crazies get ur tix!’

Last week, Bellamy told NME it would be the last time ‘some’ of the songs would be played live, saying: “It’s probably the last time some of these songs will ever be played live again. It was on the second album that things really started happening for the band, and when we focused on the live side of things much more.”

“So it’ll be like coming full circle: we’ve gone off on one a little bit, and now it feels like the right time to pull it back and remind ourselves of what we were doing 10 years ago.”

Muse are due to top the Reading/Leeds bill alongside My Chemical Romance and joint headliners Pulp and The Strokes.
