Beady Eye, Paul Weller and Primal Scream will appear at a special benefit night to be held at the Brixton Academy next month aiming to raise money for the victims of the recent Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

Beady Eye and former Oasis members Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell and Gem Archer enjoyed one of their biggest fanbases outside the UK in Japan, and have spoken of fond memories of an Oasis gig in the country in 2002.

“Beady Eye – who still have fond memories of their concert in Sendai with Oasis in 2002 – are delighted their idea for a benefit gig has come together so quickly and with such fantastic support,” said a message on the band’s website.

The stellar line-up of British musicians will also include Graham Coxon, The Coral and Richard Ashcroft. Tickets for the April 3rd show will go on sale this Friday, with all proceeds going towards the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal.
