Aussie rock lords AC/DC will release a new live album this spring, which will feature a DVD containing the band’s three December 2009 dates at Argentina’s River Plate stadium. “We’ve got a new live album which we shot in Argentina at the end of the last tour, which was about September. The live album comes out, with the video of those concerts, in about six weeks or something. So I’m looking forward to that,” singer Brian Johnson told OversteerTV.

Morrissey fans will be able to get their hands on two previously un-released tracks on April 18th, according to fansite True-to-you.net. The site reports the two songs, ‘Safe, Warm Lancashire Home’ and ‘Treat Me Like A Human Being’, from Morrissey’s ‘Viva Hate’-era, will be released as b-sides on the re-issue of 1992 single ‘Glamorous Glue’.

An ever increasing number of ‘& the’ bands will arrive on February 21st when Tom Williams & The Boat release debut album ‘Too Slow‘. Check out the record’s recent single ‘Get Older‘, which sweeps and slides seamlessly between country and rock, underpinned by the impressive power and bittersweet lyrics of the aforementioned frontman.

Def Leppard have been confirmed as headliners for this year’s Download festival alongside Saturday night headliners System Of a Down and Sunday night’s Linkin Park. Tickets are on sale for the event which is due to take place at Donington Park between June 10th-12th.

Pop superstar Lady Gaga is ready to debut the promo for her new track ‘Born This Way’ next Monday, according to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. The single currently stands at no.3 in the UK charts, and the singer recently confirmed she has ‘just finished editing’ the video with director Nick Knight.

Marin Scorsese‘s Rolling Stones documentary Shine a Light received its UK network debut this week, and didn’t lose much of the aesthetic quality when transferred to the small screen. A highly entertaining two hours, it’s great to see one of the world’s best directors capturing, still after over 40 years, one of the world’s best bands.
