Canadian rock duo Death From Above 1979 have announced details of their first UK show in five years following a recent reunion.

After being surprisingly unveiled on this year’s Coachella line-up last month, members Jesse F. Keeler and Sebastien Grainge will now play London’s HMV Forum on May 5th, returning to the UK for the first time since 2006.

After releasing debut album ‘You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine‘ in 2004 the duo revealed details of their split in August 2006. In the aftermath of their Coachella booking which sprung the news of their reunion, Sebastien Grainge took to the band’s official website to post a message to fans outlining their return, writing:

“…Jesse and I have decided that what we can do together should not be denied. Together again, as was always the intention, as a collaboration. The collision of two different worlds. As this all takes shape, we will reveal it to you. All of it happening, as it always has, in our own way. Thank you all for sharing in our excitement!”

Tickets for the London show go on sale on this Friday (Feb 11th) from 10am (GMT).
