Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has been talking through his much publicised ‘reunion’ with former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic and producer Butch Vig, saying the hook up felt ‘natural’.

Novoselic appears on the Foo Fighters’ new album, playing on the track ‘I Should Have Known‘, while Butch Vig also lent his talents to the recording sessions, resulting in what has been described as the band’s heaviest record to date.

Speaking to MTV News, Grohl described his feelings when working with the pair for the first time since Nirvana’s seminal album ‘Nevermind

“The three of us haven’t been in a studio together since 1991,” he said. “Musically, it sounded great and it felt natural.”

Grohl’s thoughts come not long after Butch Vig also spoke to MTV regarding the trio’s new meeting, saying: “When Krist came up to Dave’s house, we sort of sat down and it was like, ‘Holy shit, man, we hadn’t been in a room together, the three of us, in almost 20 years.”

Foo Fighters recently confirmed the tracklisting of their new record, which is entitled ‘Wasting Light‘, and is due for release on April 12th.
