Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner To Release New EP Next Month

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner is to release a new six-track EP comprising of original material recorded for Richard Ayoade‘s forthcoming film Submarine.

The EP is set for release through Domino on March 14th, and will be available in CD, 10″ vinyl and digital formats. Submarine, a Welsh-set comedy/drama starring Craig Roberts, Yasmin Paige, Sally Hawkins and Paddy Considine, is due for release in the UK on March 18th.

Alex Turner is currently based in Los Angeles with his Arctic Monkeys bandmates as they continue work on their fourth studio album. According to reports, the Sheffield band are recording with Klaxons producer James Ford, and are said to be aiming for a Spring release.

The album will be the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Humbug‘, on which the band also worked with James Ford, as well as Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.
