Coldplay will release a new track via iTunes next week as the band continue work on a new studio album.
The festive song, entitled ‘Christmas Lights‘, will be available on iTunes from 8pm (GMT) on December 1st. Announcing the news on their official website, the band simply described the track as being ‘in the key of G’, and added that they hope their fans ‘have a great Christmas and holidays’. Later in the month, the group will appear at two charity gigs in aid of the homeless charity Crisis, which are to be held in Liverpool and Newcastle.
On top of the charity gigs, Coldplay recently announced their first major dates following a short break in the wake of their Wembley shows in September, and will perform at Germany’s Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park events, next June alongside Kings Of Leon. The also continue to be strongly linked with a return to the Glastonbury festival next year.
