Killers frontman Brandon Flowers’ new solo venture looks well on it’s way to emulating his success with the Las Vegas band thanks to a recent top 10 single and a sold out UK tour, but in a recent interview Flowers has spoken of concerns that his achievements could dry up, and believes it is ‘inevitable’ that his songwriting talents will fade.

In an interview with the UK’s Absolute Radio station, Flowers said: “It’s a strange thing, having a talent like this. It could go away I feel like it seems like it’s inevitable.”

Later, Flowers also discussed his views on the current music scene, and condemned certain acts which he described as ‘phoney’. “Well, you know, what I’ve noticed in all my travels is there’s a lot of phoney, I’ve seen some phoniness, so it’s hard for me,” he said. “I wasn’t prepared for that. There are some bands that are so great at it and it’s almost like they are…I don’t know where it comes from.”

Flowers’ debut solo album ‘Flamingo‘ features tracks which the singer revealed were originally intended for a new Killers record, and was released this week. His UK tour will commence in October and features sold out dates in cities such as Leeds, Birmingham and London.
