London-based synthpop band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool have revealed they will go ahead with the release of their debut album after their frontman Charles Haddon died at the Pukkelpop event in Belgium last weekend.

In a statement released today, the band’s publicist explained discussions with Haddon’s family had taken place before the decision was made. “After speaking with the late Charles Haddon’s family, remaining band members Joe Hutchinson and Caan Capan have decided to proceed with the original schedule for the release of the record they planned with Charles,” the statement reads.

“Joe and Caan would like to thank everyone for their incredible support and best wishes during this extremely difficult time and ask that their privacy now be respected whilst they now take some time away.”

Entitled ‘The Golden Year‘, the album will be released on October 3rd. The album will be followed by the single ‘The Key‘ a week later.
