Arctic Monkeys Front Man Alex Turner Writes Film Soundtrack

Alex Turner penned the score for a new British movie directed by his friend and IT Crowd actor Richard Ayoade . The Daily Mirror reports that the film Submarine is a drama based on the debut novel by stand-up comedian Joe Dunthorne.

Arctic Monkeys and Klaxons producer James Ford was called to produce Turner’s first solo project.
Alex, 24, was asked to work on the soundtrack by Ayoade, 33, after he directed the Monkeys’ tour film At The Apollo.

The movie with Alex’s score is scheduled to hit the theaters next year.
