Beach Boys singer Mike Love has claimed his cousin Brian Wilson will rejoin the legendary band next year to mark the group’s 50th anniversary.

Spiritualized have announced plans to stage a one-off performance of their seminal 1997 album Ladies & Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on July 30th. The performance, which follows similar shows in the UK, will feature the Spiritualized live band plus a choir, 8 piece string section and horns. This will be the only North American show and the last performance of its kind.

Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien has revealed the band are planning to release their new album before the end of this year.

Europe has been confirmed to play at this year’s iTunes Festival at the London Roundhouse on July 25th with Foreigner.

The band will perform music from their current critically acclaimed album “Last Look At Eden”, plus all their classics including the timeless anthem “The Final Countdown.”
