Not content with developing his own flourishing clothes line Pretty Green, former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is now working on a new film which will focus on the tumultuous final years of The Beatles.

The film project is being based on the book ‘The Longest Cocktail Party‘, a memoir written by Richard DiLello which chronicles the “wild rise and fall” of the band’s company Apple between 1968 and 1970.

According to reports, Liam Gallagher’s company In 1 Productions will work alongside UK Independent Revolution Films and are looking for a screenwriter and director for the project. Speaking about their plans, a spokesman for In 1 Productions said: “This will be a film with humour and affection, providing an insider’s look at what it meant to be a young man caught up in the wild swirl of the music business, celebrities and the tail end of the swinging 60s in London.”

While in Oasis, Liam and Noel Gallagher made no secret of their love for The Beatles, and took huge inspiration from the legendary band. Both brothers have previously discussed their love of the DiLello book, with Noel describing it as ‘fucking brilliant’.

According to reports, it is hoped the film will be unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival.
