The LP was recorded in Seattle this February and produced again by John Goodmanson, who helmed their debut album, The Golden Spike, the new album comprises of 12 tracks, many of which have been road-tested over the last 6 months on support shows with the likes of The Cribs and a joint US tour with fellow Wichita protéges, Peggy Sue.

The title of the album roughly means “beautiful forms” and implies both the energy of collision and hints at the spectrum of sounds and imagery collected within the record.

Full details of the album are to be announced soon, but the band have revealed fans will be invited to generate content to an ongoing, online version of the album artwork project. Art for the record has been created by illustrator Jack Hudson.

The band released their debut, The Golden Spike in January 2009, garnering plaudits from the likes of NME, Observer magazine and beyond. Thanks to a heavy touring schedule across 16 countries and 3 continents, plus word of mouth fan fervour, the band’s recordings and live shows have gained recognition worldwide. This past spring, the BBC named Sky Larkin’s first album as ‘one of the best records you mightn’t have heard in 2009’. It should be different this time round. Additionally, iTunes named The Golden Spike In its best alt. records of the year.
