Since the age of 14 Barry Mopp has spent his every waking moment evolving musically. Starting off taking interest in DJ-ing and drumming he quickly moved on to guitar and vocals, writing and producing his own material as well as collaborating with talented local musicians and songwriters. Always the experimentalist Mopp returned to his musical roots and started collaborating with some talented Scottish vocalists. He has recently self-produced a collection of tracks and re-mixes under his new self titled project MOPP.
MOPP’s ‘big band’ live show is proving to be just as popular as his recorded tracks, having been confirmed to support Chew Lips as well as being added to the Scottish leg of the NME Radar Tour in April. With a single scheduled for July on Euphonios (Unicorn Kid, Kid Adrift, Think About Life) and a lot of major label attention you are sure to be seeing much more of MOPP.
