The Magic Numbers Return With New Album, UK Tour

The Magic Numbers will release their third studio album in June, they announced today.

The band, which consists of two pairs of brothers and sisters (Romeo Stodart, Michele Stodart, Sean Gannon and Angela Gannon) will issue ‘The Runaway‘ on June 7th. The record contains string arrangements by the late Robert Kirby – his last work before his death in October last year.

The Magic Numbers formed in 2002 and released their eponymous debut in 2005, which was subsequently nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. The follow up ‘Those The Brokes‘ followed in late 2006.




The LP will be released with a limited edition version which will feature a four-track EP of a live recording at Wilton’s Music Hall in London.
