MGMT have made the decision to put their new album ‘Congratulations‘ online after the record leaked onto the internet.

Lady Gaga has cemented her status as one of the world’s leading popstars this week after topping both the UK Album and Singles chart. Her LP ‘The Fame‘ has climbed four places to the top spot, while her single ‘Telephone‘ is also this week’s no.1. Elsewhere, hit TV show Glee’s Volume 2 soundtrack enters at #2, to go with their Volume 1 edition which is still going strong at #6.

On the eve of the release of her second record ‘I Speak Because I Can‘, Hampshire-based singer-songwriter Laura Marling has told BBC 6Music she is close to finishing work on the follow-up: “We’re doing pre-production at the moment,” she told the station. “It’s taking a form now – I don’t really know which one.”

Suede took to the stage at London’s 100 Club venue last night for what was their first UK show in seven years.

The gig, organised as a warm-up for the band’s upcoming show at London’s Royal Albert Hall in support of Teenage Cancer Trust, featured a career-spanning set by the group’s ‘Coming Up‘ era lineup.
