Irish supergroup U2 have unveiled plans for a new album of remixes by the likes of Trent Reznor, David Holmes and Hot Chip.
Ben Goldwasser, one half of Brooklyn-based duo MGMT, has apologised to fans for releasing the track ‘Flash Delirium‘ as a free download.
The song was the first new music to be released from the group’s upcoming new album ‘Congratulations‘, and was widely labelled as the first single, despite the band insisting they do not intend to release any singles from the new record. The make-up of the track has recieved mixed responses from some sections, and certainly displays the promised change of direction spoken about by the duo over the past few months.
Here are the latest tours and festivals announced this week. Don’t miss out, there are tickets available by clicking on the ticket links next to the event:
Keane frontman Tom Chaplin has revealed he took inspiration from Alice Cooper to help him beat his drink and drug addictions, saying he took up Golf after he checked into The Priory in 2006. “I am actually quite obsessed with it,” he told The Sun. “When Alice Cooper needed to give up booze he said ‘What the hell am I going to do if I can’t drink?’, so he started playing golf and became completely obsessed with it – and that’s kind of the same as what happened to me. Alice’s whole tour schedule is built around playing golf. I don’t know if the same thing is going to happen for Keane, but it certainly gives me some relief.”
