The Who Not Happy With Super Bowl Crowd

The Super Bowl audience should have brushed up on their Brit Rock knowledge a bit , or so thinks Roger Daltrey, who seemed disappointed with the crowd interaction at the live half time  spectacle. Although the Super Bowl broadcast broke all previous television audience records, the twitter chats lit up after the game complaining about how boring and old The Who looked.

The critics jumped on board the band wagon and blasted the band’s performance as well.  But to be fair, it was not a Who show, but rather a 12 min produced for TV medley at sporting event they had little control over.

‘It didn’t even feel like a concert … It’s a television show,’ singer Roger Daltrey pointed out on ESPN. ‘And what can you do in 12 minutes? I thought it went OK. I understand. It’s a TV show. Cameras were everywhere. I was so blinded that I couldn’t see. And I really wished the crowd would have gotten into singing the songs with us more. That’s how it is in Europe for our soccer matches. I wanted more banter’.
