The UK Charts For February 14th

R n B singer/songwriter Alicia Keys remains on top of the Album Chart this week, ahead of Andre Rieu and Paolo Nutini in an unchanged top three. Electronic legends Massive Attack (photo) score a top ten hit, with their fifth studio album ‘Heligold‘ debuting at #6. Outside the top 10, American singer Seasick Steve has entered at #33 with his new record ‘Songs For Elisabeth‘. The Sun organised campaign Helping Haiti’s cover of R.E.M‘s classic track ‘Everybody Hurts‘, which featured artists such as Alexandra Burke, Rod Stewart and Robbie Williams, has gone straight to the top of the singles chart this week, after selling over 450,000 copies since it’s release.

In the UK Indie Album chart, American poet, musician and author Gil Scott-Heron’s ‘I’m New Here‘ has hit the top spot, while The xx’s excellent debut has dropped one to #7.
