Slash : UK Music is Tame, Predicable and Faceless

Ex Guns N Roses guitar slinger Slash is claiming that the UK lacks any bona fide rock legends in the making and goes as far as to say that UK music was ”tame, predicable and faceless,”. He adds that the whole world needed to create more “Rock Stars”

Slash points out that he is “down on music in general right now” and continues: “It’s lacking there. I mean you’ve got the Gallagher brothers but they’ve been around forever. It’s gotten sort of tame predicable and faceless.”

Speaking to Absolute Radio he added he didn’t want to single the UK out, and that music across the world is undergoing a hard time, though he remains positive it will soon pass.

“I guess lady Gaga has turned into a big personality. But we’re at a dead zone in music right now. We go through this every decade. It’s the beginning of a new decade, so I think things will get cool from here.”

Slash self titled debut album will be out in Japan in March, in the US in April and in Europe in May. His first single from the album, ‘By The Sword‘ will be released in Europe on March 1.
