Iggy Pop will work on new material with The Stooges following the band’s Raw Power tour, he announced today.

Speaking to Billboard.com, Iggy said James Williamson, who recently rejoined The Stooges, is sending him new material with a view to recording a new album. “He is already on me like a greased cat,” he said. “He’s sending me riffs, so I did some vocals to a couple of them and it’s starting to sound like something.”

New Coldplay Album Out This Christmas?

Posted on 22 Feb 2010 at 12:16pm

Chris Martin has revealed he expects Coldplay to release a new album this year.

Speaking to Globo.com, Martin discussed the measures being taken to prevent the tracks, thought to be being recorded in London with Brian Eno, from leaking on the internet. “There’s only two people in the whole building who know how to open all the recording files,” he said. “Even we don’t know how to do it. We couldn’t even steal our own music at the moment. You would have to be a computer genius and a great burglar to get into the building, and download it, and mix it.”

Review: The Antennas – ‘The Antennas’

Posted on 22 Feb 2010 at 11:55am

Hailing from Nashville, the sound of three-piece The Antennas, consisting of brothers Layne and Landon IhdeNiemiec and drummer/producer Mark , couldn’t sound further from the traditional sound of their home-town; bringing to mind the late-90s pop-punk of the likes of Blink 182 rather than the best bits of Kings Of Leon before they went all Sex On Fire on us.
