Muse’s ‘The Resistance’ Wins Best Artwork Award

Muse’s fifth studio album ‘The Resistance‘ has taken home the Best Art Vinyl 2010 award, after beating Manic Street Preachers‘ ‘Journal For The Plague Lovers‘ into second place. The public chose the artwork, which was designed by La Boca, ahead of other major acts such as Green Day, Massive Attack and Pet Shop Boys. The annual prize was won last year US band Fleet Foxes‘ self-titled debut album.

‘The Resistance’ was released in the UK in September 2009, and confirmed the band as one of the premier rock acts in the world when it topped the album charts in 19 countries, as well as peaking at no.3 in the US.
